Invite your team

Bring teammates into your workspace with an invite link or by email, and manage members.

Everyone in a workspace sees the team's agents on one board. Each person connects their own machines, so their agents show as theirs.

#Invite people

On Team, under Invite people:

  1. Choose the role the new people get: Approver or Viewer (see Roles and approvers).
  2. Either press Create invite link and share the link — up to 10 people can use it — or type one person's email address and press Send invite.

Invites expire after 7 days. An email invite works only for that address. Pending invites are listed with how many times each has been used; Revoke stops one working.

Owners can invite approvers and viewers. Approvers can invite viewers. Viewers can't invite anyone.

To make someone an owner, invite them first, then change their role.

#Limits on invites

  • 20 invites a day per person. Each person can create up to 20 invites (links and emails together, across every workspace they belong to) in any 24 hours. Revoked invites still count. After that, new invites are refused until the oldest of the day's invites is more than 24 hours old.
  • Invite emails can pause for the day. Agentower keeps one daily count of every email it sends, for all its users together, and sign-in links get first call. Once 80 emails have gone out that day (sign-in links, invites, notification and weekly emails together), invite emails stop going out until the next day (UTC); sign-in links keep working. The invite is still created and its link appears on the page — copy it and send it to the person yourself. It still works only for that email address.
  • The invite email's subject is always the same — "You've been invited to a team on Agentower" — and never includes the team's or the inviter's name.

#Join a team

Open the invite link and press Join. If you're signed out, sign in (or sign up) first — with the email address the invite was sent to, if it was an email invite — and you come back to the invite to press Join. Signing in never joins a team by itself, so nobody can pull you into a workspace without you choosing to.

Someone who's removed from a team can't come back with an old link; their own invites, and (when an owner removed them) the team's open invite links, stop working. A fresh invite works.

If you belong to more than one workspace — your own and a team's, say — switch between them with the workspace switcher at the bottom of the sidebar.

#Connect your machines

After joining, create your own ingest key on Keys & connections and connect your tools — see Connecting tools. Your agents appear on the team's board under your name.

#Manage members

  • Change a role: owners pick a new role next to the person's name.
  • Remove someone: owners press Remove. Their access ends at once, and their keys stop working.
  • Leave a team: press Leave next to your own name.

A team always needs at least one owner: make someone else an owner before the last owner leaves.

#Rename the team

Owners can change the team's name at the top of the Team page.

Team names can't look like a web address — nothing containing "http", "www." or something shaped like "example.com" — so an invite or a notification can't be used to send people to another site. Such a name is refused and the old name stays. The same applies to the display name that comes from Google sign-in: one that looks like a web address isn't used, and Agentower shows your email address (or a name taken from it) instead.
