The audit log

Who allowed, denied, messaged or let an agent past a guardrail, and who changed what — never the text.

History → Audit log is the record of every decision made in Agentower. Owners and approvers can see it; viewers can't.

#What's recorded

  • Answers: who allowed or denied a permission request or a plan, answered an agent's question (for example "Answered a question for Peter (AGN-81)"), or sent an agent a message, which agent, and when.
  • Guardrails: each time an agent reached a limit (and whether it was paused or only warned), who let an agent continue, and every change to a guardrail.
  • The team: people joining, leaving or being removed, role changes, invites revoked, approvers named for a project, the team's name.
  • Projects: renames and lane moves — with what it was before — and projects merged or deleted, with how many agents (for example "Merged project Old into Storefront (4 agents moved)").
  • Agent chats: each time an owner switches it on or off for the workspace, for example 'Switched on "Agent chats" for every project'.
  • Work details: each time someone switches a project's Work details on or off (action project.work_details), for example 'Turned off "Work details" for Storefront (stored names deleted; counts kept)'.
  • Work streams: each rename of an agent's work stream (action stream.renamed), for example "Renamed work stream “fix login bug” to “Login fix” (Sarah (BIL-02))".
  • Moving agents by hand: each agent moved to Idle or set aside as Inactive from the board (actions agent.moved_to_idle and agent.moved_to_inactive), for example "Moved Peter (BIL-02) to Idle" — see the board.
  • Keys and data: keys created and revoked, public counters changed, notification channels removed, exports, and downloads of the weekly view as CSV (action export.download).
  • Billing: the plan starting, changing or ending (for example "Started the Enterprise plan (12 seats)"), recorded by Agentower, and each change an Enterprise owner makes to a monthly cap (action billing.cap_changed), for example "API calls monthly cap: $250 → $1000". Billing entries show under Everything in the kind filter.

#What's never recorded

The text of a message or reply, the answer to a question, a plan's text, and the command or file an approval was about. The log says that someone allowed Bash for BIL-02, not what the command was.

#Find an entry

Filter by kind and person, and pick a range — All time (the default), Today, Week, Month, 6 months or Year — stepping back and forth with ← and →, as on the log. Times, and the days in the range, follow your browser's time zone. Older entries shows the next 50.
