Plans and billing

Solo, Team and Enterprise, what a seat is, upgrading, the monthly cap and managing your subscription.

#The plans

Signing up gives no access until you add a card in Stripe Checkout. That starts Solo with a free period: a 14-day free trial or, during the beta while one of the 5 free places is open, 6 months free. Nothing is charged during the free period. When it ends, your card is charged $5 a month + VAT for Solo, and every month after, until you cancel. Cancel any time before the free period ends (Settings → Billing → Manage billing) and nothing is charged; reminder emails go out 3 days and again 24 hours before it ends, each saying how to cancel and how to delete everything. An email address gets one free period only. During the 14-day trial, access is one day at a time: each day you press Continue for 24 hours (a 24-hour pass, up to the end of the trial), and between passes the workspace is paused and your agents' reports are not taken. The 6-month free places have no daily passes. Payments run through Stripe Managed Payments: Stripe is the seller of record, adds VAT at checkout at your country's rate and issues the receipts. If you cancel and choose neither Solo nor Team, the workspace pauses (reports stop and the board asks you to choose a plan). All prices exclude VAT.

PlanPriceFor
Solo$5 a month + VATOne person: the live board, answering agents from the app, plan limits, MCP and the API (1,000 API calls a month)
Team$12 per seat a month + VAT, billed monthly, no minimumEverything in Solo for the whole team: the team board, roles and approvers, guardrails, notifications, the weekly view, the audit log, Google sign-in (Microsoft coming). 25,000 API calls a month included, then per call
Enterprise$20 per seat a month + VAT, billed annually ($240 a seat a year + VAT), at least 10 seatsEverything in Team, with 250,000 API calls and 5,000 insights calls a month included, a monthly cap the owner can raise, a data processing agreement on request and priority support. Planned, not included yet: SAML single sign-on, user provisioning (SCIM), custom data retention

A seat is one person in the workspace. A second person needs Team: Solo is for one person, so inviting someone upgrades the workspace first.

Team features need Team. Guardrails, notification channels, the audit log, the weekly view and email, and approvers per project are part of Team and Enterprise. On Solo they show as locked, with a link to upgrade, and Agentower's server refuses them too — not just the app.

Agentower adds no fee on tokens: your agents run on the plans and keys you already pay for.

#API calls

Reporting your agents (hooks, events, telemetry) is always free. Public stats are free too and never counted as API calls. Reading and acting through the API — MCP, export, agent actions — and the anonymous insights API are priced per call with volume discounts. See API pricing. Per-call charges are counted and shown on the Usage page, and aren't billed until per-call billing is switched on — with at least 30 days' notice by email.

#See your plan

Everyone can see the workspace's plan in Settings → Billing (the cog beside your name).

#Upgrade to Team

An owner presses Upgrade to Team in Settings → Billing and pays through Stripe's secure checkout — Agentower never sees card details. The Team plan shows in Settings within a few seconds. Cancelling at checkout charges nothing.

#If you pay twice

If a second Team checkout goes through for a workspace that already has the Team plan — two owners paying at the same moment, say — the second subscription is cancelled automatically, and its payment is refunded in full to the card it came from. You don't need to do anything. The audit log records it: "A second Team subscription was started by mistake and cancelled automatically; its payment was refunded". A refund can take several days to show on the card statement. If a duplicate checkout wasn't paid, it's simply cancelled.

#Seats follow your team

You don't count seats yourself: when someone joins or leaves, the number of seats on the subscription follows, with a minimum of one.

#Enterprise

An owner can buy Enterprise in Settings → Billing: choose the number of seats (at least 10), check the yearly total and press Start Enterprise to pay through Stripe's checkout. A workspace already on Team changes plan with Manage billing.

  • $20 per seat a month + VAT, billed annually — $240 a seat for the year + VAT, paid up front.
  • Seats are bought for the year. When your team grows past them, seats go up to match, priced pro rata for the rest of the year. They never go below 10 and are never lowered before the year ends.
  • API calls: 250,000 API calls and 5,000 insights calls a month are included, then Team's per-call prices — see API pricing.
  • A data processing agreement is available on request: hello@agentower.com.
  • Planned, not included yet: SAML single sign-on, user provisioning (SCIM) and custom data retention.

#The monthly cap

Per-call charges are capped per product (API calls, and insights) each month, so a leaked key can never run up an unlimited bill. Past the cap, those calls are refused until the 1st (UTC); reporting your agents is never affected.

  • Team: $250 per product a month. It can't be changed.
  • Enterprise: $250 per product a month by default. An owner can raise it in Settings → Billing, under Monthly cap on per-call charges: a whole number of dollars from $250 to $10,000, set separately for API calls and anonymous insights. It needs a sign-in from the last 7 days, and every change is in the audit log — for example "API calls monthly cap: $250 → $1000".

See API pricing for how many calls the cap allows.

#Manage billing

Once a card is on file — Solo (including its free period), Team or Enterprise — an owner can press Manage billing to change the card, download invoices or cancel, in Stripe's billing portal. Because that page can change the card and cancel the plan, it needs a sign-in from the last 7 days — sign out and in again if yours is older.

#Refunds

If Agentower isn't right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment — one full refund per workspace and per person (the owner's email address). Deleting your account and signing up again doesn't give another, and a refund Stripe makes itself through Managed Payments counts as that one refund. While that window is open, an owner sees Cancel and get a full refund in Settings → Billing (with the date it closes): confirm with Yes, cancel and refund, and the plan ends at once and the first payment goes back to the card it came from. It needs a sign-in from the last 7 days, and is recorded in the audit log. You can also ask at hello@agentower.com.

After the 14 days, we don't refund part of a month or year, and there's no credit to your account: cancelling in Manage billing stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you've paid for.

#When a Team plan ends

If a Team or Enterprise subscription is cancelled or ends unpaid, the workspace goes back to Solo. Solo is for one person, so a workspace with more people becomes read-only for everyone except the person who created it, until an owner renews Team:

  • Nobody is removed, and nothing is deleted. Everyone can still sign in and see the board, projects and history.
  • Only the person who created the workspace can allow, deny or message agents, let them past a guardrail, rename them, read their chats, or create keys. Everyone else sees a banner: "The Team plan for this workspace ended. You can see the board, but only Maya can answer agents until Team is renewed." (with that person's name).
  • Other people's keys stop reporting: their agents no longer appear or update. Their reports, and their agent-actions keys, are refused with 403 plan_ended.
  • Renewing Team in Settings → Billing brings everything back as it was.

#Deleting your account

If deleting your account deletes a workspace with a subscription — Solo, Team or Enterprise (you were its only person) — the subscription ends at once: during a free period nothing is charged; within 14 days of the first payment, that payment is refunded in full to the card; after that there's no refund or credit for the rest of the period — see Delete your account.

#If a payment fails

Settings → Billing says "Payment failed — Stripe is retrying". Stripe tries again over the following days; update the card with Manage billing.
