Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete my account. Before anything is deleted, the page lists exactly which workspaces will go and which you'll leave.

#What happens

• Workspaces where you're the only person are deleted entirely: their projects, agents, history, keys and settings.
• Team workspaces: you leave. Your keys stop working. Your agents stay in the team's history without your name (their counts stay; the instructions you typed and the agents' summaries are deleted), and the audit log keeps its entries, showing you as "Deleted person"; where an entry's text named you or your email address, it now says "a former member". Invite links you made for that team stop working, and your "this state was wrong" notes are deleted. The team sees a line saying someone deleted their account and left.
• Also deleted: your name, email address, profile picture, settings, sign-ins, sign-in links and any invites addressed to you.
• Boards you have open on other browsers or devices stop receiving updates straight away: their live connection is closed when your sign-ins end.

• A Solo, Team or Enterprise subscription on a workspace that's deleted ends at once. During a free period nothing is charged. Within 14 days of its first payment, that payment is refunded in full to the card (one full refund per workspace and per owner email address); after that, there's no refund or credit for the rest of the period (see Refunds). If Stripe can't be reached at that moment, nothing is deleted — try again a little later.

Backups roll off within 30 days. Deleting can't be undone.

#When you can't delete yet

If you're the last owner of a team that has other people in it, make someone else an owner first on Team, so the team isn't left without one. The page tells you which team is in the way.

#Do it

1. Sign in (deleting needs a sign-in from the last 7 days — sign out and in again if yours is older).
2. Go to Settings → Delete my account and press Delete my account….
3. Check the list, type your email address to confirm, and press Delete my account.
